la gomera
La Gomera is nature in its purest form, it is a bright little island full of charming and dramatic ravines, cliffs of impossible shapes and villages full of paths and silence. The beaches of black sand invites you to have a swim on the salty Atlantic and after that to enjoy a fresh fish and a glass of wine, always enjoying the omnipresent sea. Driving up only 45 minutes, you can have a unforgettable walk on Garajonay National Park, declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1986, and its laurel woodland, a dream-like forest which once covered the entire Mediterranean basin and is considered today to be a true living fossil.
La Gomera is an island full of traditions. Only here, will you be able to get to know its traditional whistling language with which the Gomerans once used to communicate with each other across the vast open spaces of their intricate geography. Viewed from the sea, an amazing sight is 'Los Órganos', a spectacular cliff face created by lava, whose erosion has created gigantic “lava” pipes of a striking organ which plunges into the deep, thus creating the most incredible underwater landscapes.
