Masca

Departure from Puerto de la Cruz toward Garachico village (free time), former commercial empire during the 16th and 17th centuries, whose architectural typical Canarian style makes it really interesting. Through El Palmar we shall reach the hamlet of Masca (600/700 ms. above sea level) Free time. From this point we head for the summits of Erjos through Santiago del Teide towards El Tanque. Stop at the Mirador de Garachico to enjoy a superb view over this village that was devastated by the eruption of the Arenas Negras volcano in 1706. Then, visit to Icod de los Vinos, where the legendary Thousand-year-old Dragon Tree stands. Return to Puerto de la Cruz (optional lunch).
