Departure from hotels to Los Cristianos harbour,
where the ferry leaves for San Sebastián de la Gomera,
capital of the island. The excursion starts at this point, going
up to the Garajonay National Park, a true nature reserve of laurel
forests and now protected by the Patrimony of Humanity. Stop at
the Mirador de Agando with its impressive rock formations. If
there is enough time, there will be a photo stop at the Mirador
de Vallehermoso, where you get a beautiful view of this region
of the island.
Between 13.00 – 14.00 hrs, lunch at Las
Rosas or Agulo ( both in the agricultural area). Demonstration
of Gomeran whistling at the restaurant. We continue on to Hermigua,
set at the bottom of deep ravines. Return to San Sebastián,
the place where the last remaining historical fortifications of
Christopher Columbus are to be found – the Torre del Conde,
the hermitage and the Pozo de la Aguada. Return by ferry to Los
Cristianos, and from there, transfer back to Puerto.
Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays they
use the Fred Olsen fast ferry (only 30 minutes to arrive)
Mondays-Wednesdays and Fridays they use the
Armas boat (takes 1 hour + 20 minutes to arrive)
